Student Transport Consultant

A government organization is looking for an independent and experienced student transport consultant. You will be responsible for the execution and partial implementation of the new student transport regulation. You will ensure that eligible children are transported to and from school in an appropriate manner.

What you will do.

• Assess and review student transport applications against laws and regulations and draft decisions.
• Conduct motivational interviews with parents, students, and schools to encourage the use of public transport or bicycles.
• Provide information, guidance, and advice to parents about student transport.
• Handle complaints and/or objections.
• Identify bottlenecks in student transport and propose improvements.
• Provide input to policy officers within your cluster.
• Maintain contacts with transporters, parents, and social team members.
• Collaborate with the Social Desk and ensure a correct administrative process.
• Ensure accurate transport administration and the application of customized solutions.
• Monitor communication between client and contractor, identify bottlenecks, and propose improvements.

What they ask

• Demonstrable completed education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level.
• Minimum 2 years of demonstrable work experience as a student transport consultant or policy officer for student transport at a government organization.
• Demonstrable work experience in handling complaints and objections.
• Agreement with the stated secondment conditions.

Preferences.

• Specific substantive knowledge and experience in translating the regulation into new working methods.
• Demonstrable work experience in the past 2 years as a student transport consultant or policy officer for student transport at a government organization.
• Demonstrable knowledge of P-Wet, Jeugdwet, Inburgering, and WMO.
• Demonstrable work experience in independently drafting decisions.
• Demonstrable knowledge of legislation and municipal processes regarding student transport.
