You will strengthen an experienced legal team and advise various companies within the group. Are you currently a lawyer or in-house counsel with experience in commercial law and/or IT law? Then this position offers a varied legal field, direct contact with the business, and colleagues with whom you can spar.
What you do
- You are a trusted legal point of contact for the companies within the group.
- You translate complex questions into clear advice and practical solutions, with an eye for both legal risks and commercial objectives.
- You draft, review, and negotiate contracts, such as client, supplier, service, partner, freelance, and data processing agreements.
- You advise on commercial law, IT law, corporate law, and GDPR.
- You help the business make informed decisions.
- You contribute to projects from the start, guide the pre-contractual phase, and proactively coordinate with all involved parties.
- You support management in the legal development and implementation of policy decisions and contribute to operational and strategic business plans.
- You follow up on disputes and advise on an appropriate approach.
- You develop and update legal templates.
- Together with your colleagues, you monitor relevant legislation and case law and translate them into usable guidelines for the business.
Profile
- Master's degree in Law.
- At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience as a legal counsel or lawyer in commercial law and/or IT law.
- Bar experience is a plus.
- Affinity with or a strong interest in the IT sector.
- Strong analytical skills and combines attention to detail with a pragmatic approach.
- Clearly explains legal issues to colleagues without a legal background.
- Works independently, sets priorities, and takes initiative.
- Customer-focused, enthusiastic, and a committed team player.
- Excellent communication in Dutch and English.
- Knowledge of French is a plus.
