As a traffic controller, you will work at various locations. Planning will take your place of residence into account. You will work outdoors in diverse traffic situations and at events, ensuring variety. You will often handle one assignment per day and regularly meet new colleagues and see different places.
What you do
- Ensure safe and smooth traffic flow
- Guide cars, cyclists, and pedestrians around construction sites and events
- Give clear instructions with hand gestures and potentially a stop sign
- Maintain an overview, even during busy periods
- Sometimes perform access control in a gatekeeper role
- Direct visitors to parking areas or register construction traffic
- Assist in difficult situations, such as malfunctioning traffic lights
- Remain calm and communicate clearly to contribute to safety on the street and at the location
What they ask
- Willingness to follow a 3-day course and obtain a traffic controller pass
- Proficiency in the Dutch language
- Possession of a driving license
- Ability to apply for a VOG (certificate of good conduct, costs reimbursed)
Practical
- Salary indication: €2,550 to €2,725 gross per month, including reservations
- Mileage allowance from the first kilometer of commuting
- Surcharges for evenings (115%), weekends (125%), and public holidays (200%)
- Clothing package and all necessary materials are provided
- Paid 3-day course and onboarding period
- Opportunities for growth towards a traffic trainer role and obtaining a VCA certificate
