Business Controller

As a Business Controller, you contribute to better education and make an impact on strategic choices within a societal organization. You are a strong discussion partner for management, school leaders, and directors. You connect strategy, operational management, and finance, providing clear insights that enable the organization to make future-proof decisions. Thanks to your analyses, advice, and keen eye for risks and opportunities, space is created for quality education for students.

What you will do.

  • Preparing and analyzing budgets, forecasts, and multi-year estimates
  • Developing scenario analyses and management reports
  • Advising management and school leadership on finances, risks, and operational management
  • Analyzing funding issues and staffing developments
  • Strengthening and further developing the planning & control cycle
  • Identifying and analyzing internal and external developments within education
  • Developing and implementing policies and management instruments
  • Leading and coordinating multidisciplinary projects
  • Monitoring risks, budgets, progress
  • Optimizing processes and management information
  • Maintaining internal and external networks and collaborations

You are visible within the organization, know how to bring interests together, and act as an advisor and sparring partner at tactical and strategic levels.

Profile

  • A completed hbo+ or university degree in a financial or economic field
  • Experience in business control, finance, or strategic advisory
  • Knowledge of planning & control, policy development, and financial analyses
  • Experience with project-based work and stakeholder management
  • Strong advisory and communication skills
  • A proactive, independent, and solution-oriented attitude
  • Affinity with education or societal organizations is a plus.

Practical

You will join a professional service organization that works for multiple school groups and dozens of school locations. An environment where development, collaboration, and social engagement are central. You can expect:

  • A salary between € 3,644 and € 6,432 gross per month (based on full-time)
