Administrative Advisor
An organization serves as the umbrella and knowledge center for Dutch-language education abroad. It supports and advises a network of approximately 180 schools worldwide. On behalf of a ministry, it provides subsidies to schools that meet certain quality criteria. It is important for Dutch and Flemish children abroad to maintain connection with Dutch and Flemish education. The organization also second Dutch teachers to European Schools with a Dutch-language section.
The Education and Organization team currently consists of ten education and administrative advisors. Advisors visit schools an average of three times a year, both within and outside Europe.
What you do
- Maintain active contact with schools (relationship management/account management).
- Advise (school) organizations, boards, management, and school leadership on administrative, organizational, policy-related, and educational issues.
- Support schools with governance, quality assurance, strategic development, and organizational structure.
- Clarify the boundaries of Dutch and Flemish educational laws and regulations and refer schools to appropriate external expertise where necessary.
- Develop and provide training, workshops, and knowledge sessions for board members and school leaders.
- Contribute to the development of advisory products, quality frameworks, and services of the organization.
- Contribute to the improvement of internal work processes and professional services.

- An enthusiastic and experienced administrative and organizational professional with an affinity for Dutch language education.
- Experience in advising (school) organizations, such as (voluntary) boards, management, and school leadership on administrative, organizational, and policy-related issues. Experience does not necessarily have to be gained specifically within education; experience in advising organizations is paramount.
- An analytical mindset and the ability to oversee complex situations, weigh different interests, and provide clear and practically applicable advice.
- Organizationally sensitive, strong communicator, and works carefully and structured.
- Knowledge of and/or affinity with (education) legislation is a plus.
Profile
- Academic working and thinking level.
- Completed university degree, preferably in Public Administration, Law, or similar.
- Minimum of three years of experience in administrative advising, organizational consulting, policy development, or quality assurance.
- Experience in advising organizations, board members, management, and/or school leadership.
- Knowledge of governance, administrative processes, and organizational development.
- Affinity with Dutch language education.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work systematically, project-based, and meticulously.
- Good command of Dutch and English is a plus.

- Salary according to scale 11 (Government Job Structure), supplemented with holiday pay, a thirteenth month, and an Individual Choice Budget.
