Content Specialist

Do you want to make digital services more understandable, accessible, and user-friendly for hundreds of thousands of visitors per month? For a government organization, we are looking for a content specialist who improves online content, creates newsletters, and collaborates in a multidisciplinary scrum team. The assignment is based on secondment.

What you will do. The Online Customer Interaction department is daily engaged in making it as easy as possible for our visitors. We ensure they can find the information they are looking for and that it is accessible to everyone. This is done with a team of over 20 professionals, including web analysts, online advisors, and UX designers. The main tasks and responsibilities are:

• Creating and maintaining online content.
• Creating forms.
• Creating and sending newsletters.
• Collaborating in the scrum team on planned sprints.

What they ask

• HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a content specialist or web editor in a complex organization.
• Five years of experience with content management system Liferay, forms (preferably Seneca), and web analytics (preferably Piwik).
• Knowledge of digital accessibility (WCAG guidelines).
• Excellent command of the Dutch language and strong editorial skills (minimum C1 level).
• Knowledge of SEO and metadata.
• Demonstrable knowledge of online channels, digital applications, and communication tools.
• Demonstrable experience in using website(s) to achieve strategic and operational business objectives.
• Demonstrable experience in advising on content optimization and online communication.
• Basic knowledge of web statistics and the ability to interpret data for content improvement.
