The night is for sleeping, but sometimes that's not possible. As a night care supervisor, you are the beacon for clients, offering peace, proximity, and safety, and ensuring everyone feels seen and heard. You work independently and deal with a wide variety of care needs from clients with moderate to mild intellectual disabilities. You are responsible for all residential units of a care organization in a specific location and a few residences of another foundation in the same location.
What you do
During the night, you are there for clients with planned and unplanned care needs. Your tasks include:
- Comforting, reassuring
- Providing support with personal care and guidance
- Performing nursing technical actions (training is offered for this)
- Responding to planned and unplanned care needs
- Supervising and providing support for care needs
- Guiding and caring for clients as needed
- Observing behavior, well-being
- Adapting quickly in unexpected situations
- Reporting special circumstances and transferring them to colleagues
Profile
- You are a true night owl and enjoy working independently
- You are not afraid to go out alone
- You have completed an MBO-4 care-related education
- A Verzorgende IG (Individual Caregiver) diploma is a plus
- You possess a BHV certificate (emergency response) or are willing to obtain one
- You are flexible, can switch quickly, and remain calm in various situations
- You are independent, decisive, and take responsibility
- You have genuine attention for clients and an eye for their needs
Practical
- You work from a central location and drive a service car to various residential locations in the area during the night.
- You work independently but are supported by a care center and can consult colleagues from other night care teams in the region by phone.
- Flexibility is required to support colleagues at other night care locations if necessary during holidays or emergencies.
- You will join a small and dedicated team of 3 colleagues.
- A Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) is required.
- Reference checks are part of the procedure.
