As a Cybersecurity Crypto Supervisor, you will support a financial supervisory authority in overseeing crypto service providers falling under the Markets in Crypto Assets Regulation (MiCAR). You will assess the digital resilience of organizations and monitor compliance with the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA). You will combine knowledge of laws and regulations with insight into IT risk management, cybersecurity, and the technical operation of crypto services.

What you will do.
- Assess IT aspects within MiCAR license applications.
- Conduct (European) investigations into the IT risk management of MiCAR-licensed crypto service providers.
- Analyze IT risk management processes, cybersecurity measures, and operational resilience, and determine necessary follow-up actions.
- Analyze IT incidents, resilience tests, and outsourcing risks.
- Maintain contact with internal and external stakeholders regarding risks, findings, and supervisory measures.
Profile
You will be part of the team responsible for operational IT supervision and will work closely with the team responsible for crypto service supervision. Within these rapidly evolving supervisory domains, you will collaborate with specialists in supervision, crypto, cybersecurity, and laws and regulations to contribute to a resilient and integral financial sector.
What they ask
- A completed bachelor's or master's degree in (administrative) information science, (technical) business administration, or a comparable (beta) education.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience within the financial sector, technology sector, (IT) audit, or a comparable environment.
- Knowledge of or affinity with crypto services, MiCAR, and DORA.
- Experience with IT risk management and frameworks such as ISO 27002, COBIT, and/or NIST.
- Strong analytical skills: you understand complex dossiers and distinguish main from side issues.
- Ownership: you take responsibility and work proactively.
- Collaboration: you actively seek collaboration, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive team result.
- Communication: excellent command of both Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.
Preferences.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA or similar are a plus.
