As a Personal Supervisor, you work with (young) mothers (from 18 years old) and their children who come from vulnerable situations. Tailored support is essential for this target group. You build a bond of trust with an open, involved, and respectful approach, seeing the woman behind the story. This requires perseverance, life experience, and resilience. The department is a sheltered living facility for vulnerable (young) mothers from 18 years old and their children.
In a safe and stable environment, they receive the guidance, support, and peace needed to rebuild their lives. With 24-hour supervision, we work together on recovery, self-reliance, and a future perspective in which mother and child can grow.
What you do
- Together with the mothers, you draw up a personal plan and work on achievable goals that contribute to a stable future.
- You maintain close contact with therapists and various stakeholders.
- From the bond of trust you build, you motivate and activate participants.
- You contribute to a safe and calm living environment and dare to set clear boundaries when situations demand it.
- You are resilient, act consistently and professionally.
- Thanks to your experience, you can accurately assess situations and de-escalate when necessary.
Profile
- Completed HBO (higher professional education) degree in Social Work.
- Experience with social assistance within a sheltered living facility or a related sector, supplemented with knowledge of and/or experience with mild intellectual disability (LVB) and parenting support.
- Able to look at the entire family system.
- Creative and stress-resistant to act in crisis situations.
- Skills to de-escalate situations with a target group known for verbal and physical aggression.
- Willing to participate in at least one to two group shifts per month in the irregular schedule (day/evening and/or weekend shifts) and in the holiday schedule.
- A certificate of good conduct (VOG) is required.
- A Christian worldview is required.
Practical
- Salary: CAO Social Work scale 8 (minimum €3571,- and maximum €5326,- gross per month for a 36-hour week).
- Contract: a one-year contract with the intention of extension or permanent employment.
- Development: a career budget of 1.5% and an internal Academy for development opportunities.
- Travel allowance: mileage reimbursement or NS Business Card and a bicycle plan.
- Extras: 170 leave hours for a 36-hour week, vitality days, 8.3% year-end bonus, 8% holiday allowance, pension scheme, and € 75,- sports budget per year.
