An educational institution is actively developing its education and research in a specific region.

As a knowledge broker, you translate questions and needs from society into education and research within a faculty.
Your goal is to translate questions and needs from the local community into suitable education and research for the faculty.
You collaborate with lecturers, researchers from the faculty, and a community liaison from the educational institution.
You form the link between the region and the faculty, ensuring that both the societal and academic aspects of collaborations align well.
You translate questions and needs from the community into research and education, such as student projects, exam questions, or research proposals.
You continuously seek the right balance between societal relevance and academic quality.
At the start of your role, the focus will be on further developing "challenge courses" within a new bachelor's program.

What you do

Translate questions and needs from society into promising participatory and/or demand-driven research and education within the faculty.
Develop and coordinate challenge courses within a bachelor's program and monitor educational quality.
Actively maintain contact with lecturers and researchers from the faculty and proactively inform them about opportunities and needs within the local ecosystem.
Serve as the point of contact for the community liaison of the educational institution regarding the academic involvement of the faculty.
Co-develop and deliver educational modules and training sessions where students and staff learn skills for socially engaged work.

What they ask

Academically qualified: completed doctoral research in a beta or technical discipline and experience in teaching and/or curriculum development.
Willingness to obtain a university teaching qualification (BKO) within two years of starting, if not yet acquired.
A pioneer at heart: you are energized by a new role where not everything is fixed and are able to shape the function independently.
Curious and a good listener: open to new forms of research and education, and skilled at listening to what others need.
Strong in Dutch and English: excellent language skills in both languages to smoothly switch between various stakeholders and contexts.
Experience (a plus): with accreditations and other forms of quality assurance, acquiring research grants, working in research consortia, participatory research or education, and affinity with the region.
