Legal Advisor

Your task package is broad and diverse, primarily encompassing roads but also water.

• You are the legal point of contact for questions related to road management, water management, and waterway and nautical management in the region.
• You assess activities of the organization, co-governments, businesses, and citizens.
• You have extensive contact with colleagues from real estate, the permit issuance and enforcement departments, and the policy department.
• You advise on administrative agreements and handle objections.
• You provide legal advice and work independently on legal cases based on knowledge of administrative and private law, specifically the Environmental Act and relevant policy frameworks.
• You provide legal advice on permit issuance and enforcement.
• If necessary, you contribute to other legal products of the department, such as handling Woo requests, complaints, and damage claims.
• You fulfill the role of secretary in objection procedures.
• You handle (higher) appeal cases.
• You represent the Minister in court hearings and defend granted permits and enforcement decisions.
• You participate in various consultations where you clarify, both solicited and unsolicited, the legal implications of (intended) actions.

• Completed university degree in law.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience with legal advice in the field of environmental law.
• Knowledge of administrative law and private law.

• You work in a team with 4 other legal advisors.
• There is room for discussion and you have extensive contact with other colleagues within the department.
• A Certificate of Conduct (VOG) is required.
