As a Senior Buyer, you advise and guide senior management on strategic purchasing processes and contribute to a professional, lawful, and future-proof purchasing process within an insurance company.
What you will do.
- You are the point of contact for senior management, internal clients, and suppliers regarding complex purchasing issues.
- You advise, guide, and support strategic and highly complex purchasing processes, taking into account contract value, delivery risks, laws and regulations, and the strategic value for the organization.
- You negotiate (framework) contracts, meticulously record agreements, and ensure that contracts comply with relevant laws and regulations, such as Wft, AVG, and DORA.
- You monitor compliance with contractual agreements, evaluate performance, and adjust where necessary.
- You make a significant contribution to reports, evaluation matrices, and process optimization.
- You analyze spend, account, and stakeholder reports, identify improvement opportunities, and lead improvement projects related to processes and purchasing tools.
- You guide and coach less experienced buyers, share knowledge with the team, and help colleagues grow in the profession.
Profile
- HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level, supplemented with NEVI-1 and NEVI-2.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a comparable purchasing role.
- Experience with complex purchasing processes, contract management, and supplier management.
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, such as Wft, AVG, and DORA.
- Knowledge of and experience with purchasing applications, database, and analysis methodologies.
- Strong advisory skills, negotiation skills, and persuasiveness.
- The ability to identify improvements, develop proposals, and lead improvement projects.
- Experience within the insurance sector is a plus.
