APV, Events and Alcohol Act Officer

A government organization in the province of Utrecht is looking for an officer for the General Local Ordinance (APV), Events, and Alcohol Act. The organization works towards a flourishing and future-proof area, focused on reliable service, approachability, and clear communication. The Client Team, consisting of 28 employees, serves residents and businesses with direct customer inquiries, including applications for events, catering operating licenses, and APV notifications/permits.

There is currently a high workload with the assessment of the Bibob Act, and efforts are being made to optimize and digitize processes.

What you will do.

  • Process applications for catering operating licenses, Alcohol Act permits, and registrations.
  • Responsible for the implementation of the Bibob Act.
  • Process and grant event applications.
  • Responsible for the timely and correct handling of event applications or exemptions and notifications under the APV.
  • Independently process applications for, for example, noise exemptions, market stalls, and the market.
  • Provide information and advice to residents and businesses.

  • Demonstrable work experience in processing catering operating licenses and knowledge of the Alcohol Act and Bibob Act.
  • Demonstrable work experience in processing event applications.
  • Demonstrable work experience in processing APV applications, exemptions, and notifications.
  • Minimum 25% physical presence at the office.
  • 'Bring your own device' applies; no IT resources (phone, laptop, and accessories) will be provided.
  • Demonstrably residing within a maximum radius of 50km from the location.
  • Agreement with the stated secondment conditions.
