Design forward-thinking commercial products reflecting the brand purpose and creative vision, through your own designs and with creative designer collaborations.
- Build the design directions each season alongside other team members.
- Responsible for designing seasonal collections for mainline and back-to-school collections.
- Work closely with product development, sourcing, and product management teams to steer projects through GTM milestones and deadlines.
What you do
- Conceptualize designs that reflect trends, but also the integrity and aesthetic of the brand.
- Sketch concept ideas to show quick results and speed up the process.
- Contribute to the organization of seasonal collection presentations.
- Work closely with the head of design and the cross-functional design team.
- Review samples.
- Collaborate with the Product Development and Merchandising teams throughout the development process to ensure a high level of quality and integrity in the design, as well as proposing quality changes necessary to achieve targeted price points and meet calendar deadlines.
- Work closely with product developers on sourcing and sample making.
- Manage your own design initiatives and the design creatives for collaborations.
What they ask
- Expertise in creative product design and how to build a season theme and prints.
- The ability to understand the brand's DNA and onboard external design creatives.
- An understanding of how to meet deadlines.
- A minimum of four years’ work experience as a designer.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite.
- A keen interest in fashion trends and collaborating with people from a variety of areas of expertise.
- Experience with the back-to-school market and graphic design is a plus.
- A formal education and subsequent master’s degree in design or Product Design are nice to have, but total experience is most important.
