A government organization is looking for an operational management advisor for various domains. The role focuses on increasing operational effectiveness by connecting operational management with operations. You will work in a dynamic environment where the domains and the operational management function are continuously developing.
What you will do.
- Act as the primary point of contact for team leaders regarding operational management.
- Translate unit-level policy into concrete, domain-specific policy and ensure its implementation and monitoring.
- Support the improvement of processes and the implementation of developments contributing to an efficient and effective organization.
- Collaborate closely with managers, operational colleagues, and operational management.
- Formulate proposals for improvements and provide solicited and unsolicited advice.
- Translate operational issues into operational management solutions.
- Promote the professional maturity of colleagues for continuous improvement of operational management.
- Participate in various networks and partnerships.
- Address topics such as training plans, housing issues, resource management (e.g., vehicle fleet), IT issues, and other current developments.
- Work independently and seek timely coordination with relevant partners.
Profile
- Entrepreneurial, assertive, and proactive, with the ability to take initiative and achieve concrete results.
- Able to connect various stakeholders and promote collaboration.
- Organizational sensitivity to respond well to internal dynamics.
- Analytical and creative in coordinating multifaceted issues.
- Proficient in clearly documenting solution directions and communicating them convincingly.
- Alert to new information, customer-oriented, and actively collaborating with colleagues.
- Understanding of decision-making processes.
- HBO (bachelor) working and thinking level.
- Preferably education or experience in management or operational management.
- Relevant knowledge and work experience, especially in operational management, advisory skills, and the execution and implementation of small to medium-sized projects.
