A Practice Assistant for Company Doctor (POB) is sought for a certified occupational health service. You will work closely with the company doctor and guide employees and employers throughout the absenteeism process. You will be given a lot of responsibility and opportunities for personal development.
What you will do. As a POB, you are an important point of contact for employees and employers of various affiliated organizations.
- After a sick report, you contact the employee, assess the situation, and determine appropriate next steps.
- Under the delegation of tasks from the company doctor, you independently conduct absenteeism and progress interviews.
- You pay attention not only to the file and legal obligations but also to the person behind the absenteeism.
- Conducting absenteeism and progress interviews.
- Guiding employees during illness and reintegration.
- Advising employees and employers on absenteeism and employability.
- Monitoring actions and deadlines within the Dutch Gatekeeper Improvement Act (Wet verbetering poortwachter).
- Identifying bottlenecks and opportunities within absenteeism trajectories.
- Coordinating with the company doctor and referring when necessary.
- Liaising between different clients, employees, and files.
You play an active role in guiding employees towards sustainable return to work.
Profile
- HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level.
- Relevant experience in areas such as absenteeism management, reintegration, HR, case management, or sustainable employability.
- Knowledge of the Dutch Gatekeeper Improvement Act (Wet verbetering poortwachter).
- Driving license B.
- Good communication skills.
- A proactive and solution-oriented work attitude.
- The ability to work independently and easily seek collaboration.
Experience as a POB is a plus, but not a strict requirement. Candidates from HR, case management, or reintegration are also encouraged to apply.
