Contribute to biodiversity research in the North Sea.
- Delve into the determination of hundreds of benthic species.
- Alternation between offshore sampling, laboratory work, data analysis, and reporting.
- Help evaluate the impact of large infrastructure works on the marine ecosystem.
- Work independently on projects, with support from experienced colleagues.
- Specific research into the impact of laying subsea cables and depositing additional sediment on the marine benthic ecosystem.
- Research based on seabed samples taken with a Van Veen grab and Sediment Profile Imaging.
- Provide valuable knowledge for evaluating the impact of these activities.
- Opportunity to build broad knowledge of 300 to 400 benthic species in an accredited laboratory.
- Further development within marine biodiversity research and presentation of work at conferences.
What they ask for.
- Master's degree in Biology, IMBRSea, Marine and Lacustrine Science and Management, or equivalent.
- Good knowledge of marine fauna.
- Demonstrable experience in analyzing research data and clearly presenting research results.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
