Within the Legal Affairs team of an environmental service organization, two professionals are sought for the role of Legal Advisor for Objections and Appeals.
- The organization is committed to a pleasant, safe, and sustainable living environment in a specific region, in collaboration with municipalities and the province.
- Activities include permit issuance, supervision, and enforcement, as well as advising on the living environment, construction, environment, energy, archaeology, soil, air, and nature.
What you do
- Handle complex objection and appeal cases (drafting process files, statements of defense, representation at hearings).
- Provide legal advice (internal and external) in the field of environmental law.
- Act as a point of contact for colleagues regarding environmental law issues.
- Contribute to the quality of the products delivered.
- Quickly delve into new subject matter and advise on it, taking active action if necessary.
What they ask
- Demonstrable completed education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level.
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 5 years in the role of legal counsel for objections and appeals in environmental law.
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 5 years with a municipality and/or environmental service organization.
- The candidate must use their own IT resources (laptop, phone, and associated accessories) for the assignment.
Preferences.
- Demonstrable completed education at a minimum of WO bachelor level.
- Demonstrable work experience in the past 10 years with a municipality and/or environmental service organization.
- Demonstrable work experience in the past 10 years in the role of legal counsel for objections and appeals in environmental law.
