Within a government organization, an inspector for construction and environment is sought. You will work in a team responsible for supervising and enforcing the Environmental Act (Omgevingswet), Bbl, and Housing Act (Woningwet) (execution of tasks in the areas of construction, use, and environment). Reports and enforcement requests concern, among other things, (illegal) construction and occupancy, conflicting use, structural safety, fire safety, and odor and noise nuisance from catering establishments.
What you will do.
- Conduct on-site inspections
- Carefully map the situation and draw up a clear and comprehensive observation report
- Assess the situation against applicable laws and regulations (Omgevingswet, Omgevingsplan, Bbl, etc.) and record findings in an investigation report
- Based on the conclusions, determine and undertake the necessary follow-up steps, including possibly drafting a notice of penalty payment
- Handle the administrative processing of fire safety inspections carried out by the fire department
- Evaluate the observation reports from the fire department, check findings against laws and regulations, and undertake necessary follow-up steps
- Be responsible for deadline monitoring and correspondence and communication with residents, businesses
What they ask
- Completed MBO/HBO education
- Knowledge of the Omgevingswet, Omgevingsplan
- In possession of an ABW1 diploma (ABW2 is a plus)
- At least 5 years of demonstrable work experience in this field
