Reintegration Specialist

A small-scale and ambitious reintegration agency, part of a medium-sized occupational health service, is looking for a specialist.

  • Close collaboration with company doctors, case managers, and other professionals.
  • The team currently consists of 5 reintegration specialists.

  • Services include second-track reintegration processes, career guidance, outplacement, and other forms of reintegration.
  • The organization is actively being built up, with the development of new services, social media activities, and UWV processes.

What you will do.

  • Guide employees who are long-term sick and may not be able to return to their original position.
  • Initiate second-track reintegration processes in collaboration with the employee, focusing on suitable next steps towards work.
  • Focus on the employee's capabilities and competencies.
  • Work closely with the employee, employer, company doctor, case manager, and other involved professionals.

Your responsibilities and tasks.

  • Conduct extensive intake interviews, explaining second-track processes and the Wet Verbetering Poortwachter (Gatekeeper Improvement Act).
  • Draft an Action Plan and a Job Profile, considering the employee's capacity, competencies, skills, and possibilities.
  • Guide the employee throughout the process by holding bi-weekly progress meetings and advising on next steps.
  • Maintain contact with the employer, inform about progress, and advise on important steps in the reintegration process.
  • Expand your network to find suitable workplaces and reintegration opportunities for the employees you guide.
  • Support employees with applications and develop skills and competencies contributing to successful reintegration.
  • Register and report progress and results in progress reports.
  • Guide and support the employee with the WIA application.
  • Take on projects that appeal to you, for example, in the areas of social media, UWV processes, or developing new services.

What they ask

  • Experienced and independent reintegration specialist who is energized by guiding people and further developing an organization.
  • Completed HBO degree (Bachelor's), preferably in Human Resource Management, Work and Organizational Psychology, or a comparable field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a similar role within absenteeism management (e.g., case manager or reintegration specialist) (strict requirement).
  • Knowledge of the client tracking system Rapasso (a plus).
  • Broad knowledge of the Wet Verbetering Poortwachter and other relevant laws and regulations.
  • Excellent command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written (business Dutch is essential).
  • Independent, proactive, and entrepreneurial.
  • Enjoys contributing to the further growth and development of the organization.
  • Takes responsibility for their own clients and activities.
