Can you set boundaries well? Then you are the personal counselor we are looking for. The location houses twenty-one (young) adults between 22 and 58 years old with an intellectual disability and/or mental health issues. The care demand focuses on support for their specific issues that influence their lives.
All residents have an independent apartment, and there is also a common room where residents can participate in shared moments such as coffee and dinner. You will be part of a team with ten passionate counselors, a dedicated behavioral scientist, and an involved cluster manager.
What you do
- Balance various planned and spontaneous encounters during your workday
- Connect with what each individual needs to live and reside as well as possible
- Sometimes help with social contacts or planning household tasks
- Go grocery shopping together, cook, visit a general practitioner or specialist, or have a cup of coffee and discuss the day together
- Engage in a qualitative encounter with the resident and build a stable relationship of trust
- Be reliable: say what you do and do what you say
- Act as the lead for a number of residents
- Support colleagues in this task
- Be responsible for the personal guidance plan of these residents
Profile
- MBO level 4 (care-related)
- No problem with irregular working hours (day, evening, and sleeping shifts)
- Teamwork, stress-resistant
- Curious and not easily discouraged
- Possesses a good sense of humor
Practical
- One-year contract
- Salary in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement for Disability Care, job group 40
