An organization is looking for a motivated learning coach to support secondary school students or higher education students in developing a strong and efficient study approach. The focus is primarily on the learning process and acquiring good study habits.
What you will do.
- You will help students bring more structure to their school or study work.
- You will teach them how to create a feasible schedule.
- You will support them in processing larger amounts of study material.
- You will guide them in preparing purposefully for tests and exams.
- The guidance always starts from the student's own courses, planning, and difficulties.
- You will jointly explore the best approach and provide support in areas such as study methods, active learning, repetition, distinguishing main and secondary points, concentration, motivation, procrastination, and self-control.
- The goal is to gradually teach students to work more independently and give them more confidence in their own study approach.
- You do not need to have subject-matter knowledge for every subject.
Profile
- You hold a higher education diploma or are currently pursuing a relevant education.
- You have a strong foundation in study skills, planning, and learning strategies.
- You can structure study material and convey it clearly.
- You have a good command of Dutch, both verbally and in writing.
- You can work independently and take responsibility.
- You are punctual and reliable in keeping appointments.
- You have a positive and motivating attitude towards students.
- You can respond to different learning styles and levels.
- You are strong in communication and can provide clear feedback.
- You have an affinity with young people and education.
- A background in education, psychology, pedagogy, orthopedagogy, or another human sciences field is a significant advantage.
- Other profiles with experience in guiding young people or students and a strong interest in learning and studying are also welcome.
