Youth Worker

• As a permanent supervisor, you regularly conduct mentor interviews with the young people.
• You maintain contact with external organizations and aid workers, such as the guardian, school, and general practitioner.
• You ensure a safe and livable residential environment and are a visible point of contact for the young people.
• Within the team, a good working atmosphere is very important, and colleagues collaborate closely.
• Regular meetings and (intervision) discussions take place to ensure quality.

What they ask

• Education: a relevant HBO or WO diploma (Social Work, MWD, SPH, CMV, Teacher Training, Pedagogy, Psychology, or another diploma within Social Sciences).
• You are SKJ registered or have the possibility to obtain your SKJ registration within two years.
• Work experience: a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience with youth in youth care, mental health care, care institutions, and/or welfare work.
• Personality: you are resilient, empathetic, without losing professional distance, and clear in setting boundaries.
• Flexibility: available for day, evening, night, and weekend shifts (night shifts are always wake-up shifts). This is a strict requirement.
• You always work with at least one other colleague.
• A relevant MBO diploma combined with an SKJ registration is also considered.

Practical aspects.

• You will work at one of the organization's accommodation locations. These locations vary in size and type.
• A team consists of 15 to 40 employees, including youth workers, residential counselors, and behavioral experts.
• The organization initially offers a one-year contract, with the possibility of permanent employment.
• Salary: minimum €3,665.74 and maximum €5,082.73 gross per month, based on 36 hours. Salary classification is based on knowledge and work experience. You are entitled to an irregularity allowance and annual salary growth within the scale.
• Secondary benefits: travel allowance (€0.25 per km), individual choice budget (IKB) of 18% of the annual salary, pension scheme, career budget, and vitality hours.
• Vacation leave: 144 hours for a full-time employment + the option to purchase 26 extra hours of leave from the IKB.
• Development: a career budget of 1.5% of your monthly salary for, for example, following a training or course.
• Pre-employment screening: application for a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG), diploma and certificate check, and identity check.
