Ambulant counselor

An organization is looking for an ambulant counselor for their team in a city in the Central Netherlands.

• The role involves supporting people, even in complex situations, with a persistent and creative approach.

What you will do.

• Provide specialized ambulant counseling to adults with complex problems, such as psychological issues, addiction, debt, care avoidance, loneliness, or housing problems.
• Counseling takes place as much as possible in the client's own living environment.
• Help clients get their lives back on track step by step and live as independently as possible.
• Tailor assistance to the participant's situation and possibilities, especially when regular care is insufficient.
• Manage your own caseload, making professional assessments daily about what someone needs.
• Build a reliable relationship and help achieve personal and practical goals.
• Encourage participants to take as much control as possible themselves.
• Work independently and be on the road frequently.
• Collaborate closely with external parties such as municipalities, general practitioners, and mental health services.
• Consult with colleagues when you have questions or when a situation requires additional expertise.
• Plan your own agenda within office hours, with Tuesday being a fixed working day.
• Work with a team of 23 colleagues, with daily support from a social psychiatric nurse.
