A media company is looking for an Online Coordinator with a passion for news to streamline collaboration between the TV and online editorial teams. You will work for a well-known news brand focused on regional news and stories that concern people in the Netherlands, aiming to make news accessible, recognizable, and personal.
You will be the link between the online and TV editorial teams, actively gathering stories and information, and ensuring that relevant content is well-presented online, while maintaining the recognizable tone and brand identity.
What you will do.
- You will be the connecting link between the online editorial team and the TV editorial team during your shift.
- You will actively gather news, information, and content from the TV editorial team and other brands within the organization.
- You will collaborate with the online team to determine which stories are suitable for online and how they can best be presented.
- You will encourage editors to provide texts, information, and other relevant input to the online editorial team.
- You will not only edit articles but also write stories for online yourself.
- You will coordinate content with the video editor and monitor the progress of online video production.
- You will maintain the news brand's identity throughout the day and ensure it is recognizable online.
Profile
- Ability to maintain an overview, set priorities, and guide colleagues substantively in a dynamic news environment.
- A good sense of news and the ability to quickly assess which stories are relevant for online.
- Experience in writing and editing news articles.
- Excellent command of the Dutch language.
- Strong communication skills, proactive, and able to easily gather information from various colleagues.
- Ability to quickly switch between different stories, disciplines, and deadlines.
- Flexible availability as a freelancer and making agreements on your deployment for various services.
- Curious about the possibilities of AI and actively and responsibly using it to make work smarter, better, and more creative.
