You will work in an innovative, challenging environment with different crops and the latest greenhouse climate technology. You will support colleagues, researchers, and students in the greenhouses of a research institution daily.
What you do
- Set and monitor optimal climate control for various greenhouse compartments, climate rooms, and crops.
- Use practical knowledge of climate and crops to advise researchers and colleagues on the correct experimental setup.
- Work with automated climate systems.
- Apply knowledge of "Het Nieuwe Telen" (Next Generation Growing) and plant physiology for optimal cultivation management (temperature, humidity, CO₂ dosing, light, screening).
- Experienced in propagation, cultivation, and harvesting of various crops.
- Identify plant diseases, abnormalities, and pests.
What they ask
- An enthusiastic plant science professional with knowledge of greenhouse climate, cultivation, and technology.
- Completed MAS education in plant cultivation, applied biology, or comparable education/work experience.
- Available for on-call duties (after training).
- Good collaboration skills with colleagues, researchers, and (international) students.
- Communicative, with a strong sense of responsibility, and able to work according to protocols.
- Experience with MS Office software.
- Hold a valid spraying license or are willing to obtain one.
- Good command of the Dutch language.
- Technical experience in greenhouses is a plus.
