Youth residential counselor
Together with other residential counselors and youth workers, you guide young people aged 13 to 18 in their personal development, independence, and undertaking of activities. The young people receive 24/7 guidance, so that from the age of 18 they can live independently in a reception center, their country of origin, or their own home. As a youth residential counselor, you primarily focus on activating young people through sports. You develop a program, taking into account group dynamics.
Within the team, a good working atmosphere is very important, and colleagues work closely together. Regular meetings and (intervision) discussions take place to ensure quality.
What you do
- Organize, provide, prepare, execute, and evaluate activities in the field of sports and exercise
- Set up (new) sports activities and ensure they are carried out properly
- Build sustainable collaborations with associations and organizations that can contribute to the locations

Profile
- Education: at least a completed MBO level 4 education in anagogical direction such as Social Work, Personal counselor social care, Counselor specific target groups, or Sport and exercise
- Work experience: at least 2 years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge of intercultural communication
- Experience with contact sports is a plus
- Personality: resilient, social, collegial
- Flexibility: available for day, evening, and weekend shifts
