You will use your legal expertise to contribute to large, legally complex criminal cases on appeal. This is an independent and varied role that matters, with ample room for personal initiative within a public legal organization.
What you do
- Assist with the preparation of large, legally complex, and socially relevant criminal cases on appeal, and contribute to their criminal disposition in court. Work intensively with legal professionals.
- Work independently and identify legal bottlenecks.
- Quickly comprehend complex and extensive files and easily distinguish main issues from secondary ones.
- Be aware of relevant laws, regulations, and jurisprudence.
- Propose solutions for bottlenecks in criminal cases and undertake necessary tasks in the preparation of criminal cases.
- Be a full-fledged sparring partner for legal professionals and be able to write complex documents.
- Contribute to ensuring quality within the organization, provide input on current developments, and participate in projects/initiatives to enhance the quality of work.
Profile
- Ability to quickly form a judgment and analyze problems.
- Easily make decisions, show initiative, and be flexible.
- Work proactively and have a strong sense of responsibility.
- Academic working and thinking level based on a completed university law degree with civil effect.
- Several years of relevant work experience in criminal law and insight into the organization and processes of chain partners.
- Knowledge of procedures, regulations, relevant and related laws and regulations, and jurisprudence and their interpretation in criminal cases.
Practical
- A Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) is part of the procedure.
