Optometrist
The Ophthalmology department of a hospital is a modern and versatile work environment where expertise, collaboration, and patient-centered care are central. You will be part of a dedicated team of approximately 40 colleagues, including optometrists, orthoptists, technical ophthalmic assistants, doctor's assistants, ophthalmologists, and ANIOS. Communication lines are short, making it easy to consult colleagues for discussions or advice.
You will work alternately at various locations and use modern ophthalmic equipment. Professional development is high on the agenda, with ample opportunities to attend conferences, further training, and deepen your knowledge with the support of medical specialists.
What you do
As an optometrist, you combine independence with close collaboration. You will run your own consultations and make an important contribution to the diagnosis and treatment of various eye conditions. You will work closely with ophthalmologists, orthoptists, technical ophthalmic assistants, and other colleagues within the field. You will have ample opportunity to utilize and further develop your expertise.
- Independently conduct macula and dry eye consultations.
- Perform and assess diagnostic examinations, including OCT and visual field testing.
- Support various ophthalmic consultations.
- Participate in supervision consultations with ophthalmologists.
- Make a substantive contribution to the further development of the department.
