You enable residents with visual and intellectual disabilities to live, work, and thrive comfortably within a care organization. You go the extra mile for these special individuals with visual and multiple disabilities.
What you will do.
- In addition to daily care for residents, you are responsible for drafting support plans.
- You coordinate daily care and guidance.
- You advocate for the interests of residents towards various stakeholders.
- You work closely with fellow supervisors, behavioral psychologists, day activity colleagues, medical disciplines, therapists, parents/client representatives, and the team leader.
- There are two residences where you can work:
- A residence for eight aging residents (49-74 years old) with complex care needs, ranging from behavioral issues to medical fragility. This location is under development and offers opportunities in quality, safety, and professional practice. Integrated day activities are provided.
- A high-care residence for six residents (34-50 years old) with severe visual and intellectual disabilities and challenging behavior. Each resident has unique care needs. The combination of autism, attachment issues, challenging behavior, and care makes the work stimulating and meaningful.
- Within the dedicated and experienced team, "looking closely," collaboration with relatives, and a pleasant atmosphere are central.
- Activities such as walking, cycling, and music contribute to the well-being of the residents. Day activities are partly offered at the residence.
Profile
- You are a stable person who radiates calm and is a true coach for your colleagues.
- You are capable of maintaining an overview and quickly switching between different situations.
- You have an eye for the care needs of residents and can translate this into addressing their care requests.
- Minimum a completed MBO level 4 education in health or welfare care.
- Preferably, experience in care for people with disabilities.
