As a data management specialist, you contribute to the ambition of bringing data within a financial supervisory authority to a level where risks are managed and data can be optimally used for supervision. Profile
You will work within the Data, Technology, and Innovation department in the Data Management team. This team supports supervisory departments and support departments with specialized knowledge in areas such as data governance, data modeling, master data management, data quality, and metadata management.
Practical example. You will work from a data management perspective on the development of a new central capability: a self-service analysis environment. This environment should enable supervisors to perform independent analyses on available data. You will collaborate with Data Analysts to set up this capability. From a data management perspective, you are responsible for defining the preconditions within which data can be used safely, responsibly, and effectively. You will focus on three important components:
- Data access: together, you will determine which datasets will be made available to supervisory teams and how they will be made accessible.
- Governance and compliance: you ensure that data usage complies with laws and regulations, clearly defining the origin, ownership, access rights, and purpose limitation of data.
- Standardization: together, you will develop a central and uniform working method so that users can consult and analyze data consistently.
Ultimately, you will deliver a safe and standardized self-service analysis environment. This will enable supervisors to gain independent insights from data, while ensuring the quality, security, and governance of the data. In this way, the capability contributes to a more data-savvy organization.
