The assignment involves guiding young people aged 13 to 18 in a reception facility. These young people have often experienced significant events and require structure and regularity. The guidance is provided 24/7, aimed at promoting independence so they can live autonomously from the age of 18.
What you will do.
- Conduct mentoring conversations with young people
- Maintain contact with external organizations and care providers
- Ensure a safe and livable residential environment
- Serve as a visible point of contact for the young people
- Collaborate closely within a team and participate in meetings and intervision sessions
What they ask
- Education: relevant HBO or WO diploma (Social Work, MWD, SPH, CMV, Teacher Training, Pedagogy, Psychology, or another Social Sciences diploma)
- SKJ registration or the possibility to obtain it within two years
- Work experience: preferably in youth care, mental health care, within a care institution, and/or welfare work
- Personality: resilient, empathetic without losing professional distance, and clear in setting boundaries
- Flexibility: availability for day, evening, night, and weekend shifts (night shifts are always wake-up shifts)
- A relevant MBO diploma combined with SKJ registration is also negotiable
Practical
- Work in a team of 15 to 40 employees, including youth workers, residential counselors, and behavioral experts
- Salary indication: € 3,665.74 - € 5,082.73 gross per month based on 36 hours
- Entitlement to irregular hours allowance and annual salary growth
- Initially a one-year contract with the possibility of a permanent contract
- Secondary employment conditions: travel allowance, individual choice budget (18% of annual salary), pension scheme, career budget, vitality hours
- Vacation leave: 144 hours for a full-time position, with the option to purchase 26 additional hours of leave
- Career budget of 1.5% of monthly salary for training/education
- Pre-employment screening: VOG application, diploma and certificate verification, identity check
