Legal Spatial Planner
As a senior legal spatial planner, you play a key role in Environmental Law within a government organization. You contribute to urban development by ensuring that plans are legally sound. The organization faces major spatial challenges, where Environmental Law is crucial for sustainable and livable urban developments.
What you do
- Drafting and amending environmental plans and spatial justifications.
- Advising on various projects, from large-scale area developments to small-scale initiatives.
- Guiding legal procedures.
- Advising on complex permit applications.
- Advising project managers, official clients, and the board on the approach to complex spatial and social challenges.
- Preparing legal-spatial planning products and associated administrative proposals.
- Providing legal solutions for concrete issues in the area.
Profile
You are an important discussion partner for project managers, colleagues, and administrators. You are an experienced and robust advisor who can understand complex issues and translate them into practical solutions. You carefully weigh different interests and advise convincingly, even in politically and socially sensitive situations. You enjoy collaborating but also take independent responsibility and initiative.
With your environmental awareness and communication skills, you navigate easily within a political-administrative context. You work area-oriented, on-site in a district/urban area, and integrally with urban planners, spatial planners, and public space designers.
What they ask
- Minimum 15 years of demonstrable experience as a responsible advisor in drafting and procedurally guiding various legal-spatial planning products.
- Demonstrable experience in advising on spatial development projects.
- Demonstrable experience in drafting spatial justifications.
- Demonstrable experience in drafting and procedurally guiding zoning plans and/or amendments to the Environmental Plan.
- 15 years of demonstrable knowledge of environmental law and related subjects.
- Minimum 15 years of demonstrable experience and in-depth knowledge in the field of planning blight and compensation for disadvantages.
- Minimum university (WO) working and thinking level.
- University (WO) degree in (spatial) administrative law, for example in Spatial Planning or Law.
- Demonstrable experience in advising on complex applications that deviate from the Environmental Plan.
Preferences.
- Experience within a municipal organization, preferably within a large urban municipality.
- Experience in drafting EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) procedures.
