For a specialized service provider, we are looking for a Service Manager who will be responsible for the daily organization and follow-up of technical interventions and projects. You will be the link between customers, technicians, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, ensuring that agreements are met. As a Service Manager, you are the first point of contact for customers when maintenance is needed or a technical intervention must be carried out.
You analyze the request, determine what is needed, and ensure that the right people and materials are available at the right time. At the same time, you manage a team of technicians and follow up on sites and interventions from preparation to completion. A role where customer focus, technical understanding, planning, and people management come together.
What you do
Customers & service.
- You ensure that customers can count on correct and personal follow-up
- You handle requests for preventive maintenance and urgent interventions
- You analyze the customer's request and, together with your team, determine the right approach
- You keep customers informed of progress and agreements made
- You monitor the quality of service and intervene when adjustments are needed
Planning & organization.
- You plan and organize interventions and maintenance work
- You coordinate planning with available technicians
- You ensure that necessary materials and parts are available on time
- You maintain contacts with suppliers
- You order parts and other necessities
- You adjust plans when an urgent intervention or change in planning arises
Quotes & administrative follow-up.
- You prepare quotes and service proposals
- You ensure correct closure of interventions
- You follow up on necessary administration and reporting
- You monitor follow-up towards invoicing
Sites & technical work.
- You follow up on technical work and sites from A to Z
- You monitor the execution and progress of the work, planning, reporting, safety regulations, and applicable quality standards
- You possess sufficient technical understanding to properly assess, monitor, and adjust the work
Team leadership.
- You lead a team of motivated technicians
- You plan and distribute the work
- You support technicians when they face technical or practical challenges
- You coach and motivate your team
- You ensure good cooperation and communication
- You address people when agreements or expectations are not met
- You are a leader who is accessible to their team while providing clarity and structure
What they ask
- A communicative and practically oriented profile that thrives on a combination of people, technology
- A technical education, preferably at bachelor's or master's level
- At least several years of experience in a similar role and/or within a technical environment such as construction or renovation
- Experience in managing a team
- A good technical foundation and sufficient insight to correctly assess technical situations
- A customer-oriented mindset: you think in solutions and keep customers well informed
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow up on several things simultaneously
- A flexible and stress-resistant attitude, especially when urgent interventions arise
- Very good knowledge of both Dutch and French
- Experience with HVAC is a plus if you can also provide support in this domain, but you don't need to be a pure HVAC specialist
