The learning coach supports four new entrants working in a childcare facility through on-the-job coaching. The learning coach is assisted by the manager and childcare workers of the facility.
What you do
- Attract and screen candidate new entrants for competencies and Dutch language knowledge
- Provide individualized guidance to new entrants, both during and after the qualification process
- Outline an individual learning trajectory
- Prepare, execute on the work floor, and evaluate coaching moments tailored to each trainee
- Guide the trainee through the qualification process
- Handle administration for the trainee's schools
- Promote collaboration between the new entrant, the training institution, the workplace, and other relevant stakeholders
- General on-the-job coaching
- Collaborate in daily operations, interacting with both parents and children
- Detect needs and requirements
- Observe interactions to actively engage from there
- Execute an action plan during coaching
- Actively participate in operations to align maximally with the methodologies/working methods used
- Monitor, adjust, and evaluate the coaching trajectory
- Prepare and guide training sessions and learning networks
- Contribute to internal quality assurance
- Devise and develop work instruments and methodologies, and work with evidence-based coaching models
- Contribute to the preparation of the annual action plan and the evaluation of operations
- Monitor and translate regulations and current affairs related to pedagogical operations within the organization
- Participate in relevant training and study days
- Help optimize structural operations
- Participate in internal/external consultation moments
- Follow up on administration and registration
- Contribute to reporting
- Collaborate with fellow learning coaches, pedagogical supervisors, pedagogical coaches, and other partners
Profile
- Diploma: Professional bachelor in social work, pedagogy of young children, orthopedagogy, preschool education, or an (academic) bachelor in pedagogical or psychological sciences
- Knowledge of the most important pedagogical and psychological principles related to children is required
- Knowledge of childcare and/or childcare worker training is a strong asset
- Proficient in the main MS Office applications
- Possess sufficient conversation techniques and coaching experience
- Excellent command of Dutch
- Command of other languages is an asset
- Possess a personal car
