As a Service Technician for Movable Physical Barriers, you ensure that access solutions remain safely open and closed. You work on bollards, barriers, and speed gates at various locations. No day is the same, with tasks ranging from troubleshooting to performing maintenance and commissioning new installations. You regularly interact with clients and colleagues to ensure safe and reliable access solutions. You travel independently to various locations and serve as the technical point of contact.
Where necessary, you collaborate with fellow technicians on larger maintenance or repair work. You work on installations at, among others, parking garages, municipalities, and homeowner associations. In addition to electrical engineering, the mechanical aspect also plays an important role in your work. After a thorough induction period, you will participate in the on-call service, on average once every six weeks.
What you will do.
- Perform inspections, safety checks, and overhaul work on movable physical barriers
- Install, assemble, and disassemble installations, including connecting power and signal cables
- Support the assembly, testing, and commissioning of new installations
- Identify deviations, improvement points, and additional or reduced work, and coordinate this with the executor or work planner
- Record activities, inspection results, and technical findings
- Guide trainee and junior technicians (if experienced)
