Product Specialist Intelligence & Security
As an ICT professional, you maintain an overview of complex systems and ensure a good connection between management and technology. This position is within the intelligence and security domain of a government organization. As a Senior Product Specialist, you monitor the stability and continuous development of systems essential for information provision and ensure that these activities are well executed within the team. You will work for a government agency committed to a safe country.
In addition to military personnel, many civilians also work there. You will join a department that supports colleagues with equipment, supplies, and ICT. Thousands of IT professionals daily ensure the development, maintenance, and security of this organization's ICT systems. In a service team, you will work on systems used within the intelligence and security domain, where stability, security, and technical expertise are central.
What you do
- Monitor the stability and continuous development of essential systems for information provision.
- Ensure the proper execution of tasks within the team.
- Ensure that changes, management activities, and technical developments are well aligned.
- Monitor coherence within the environment.
- Coordinate activities with administrators and specialists.
- Oversee the execution of activities according to applicable procedures and security guidelines.
- Contribute to the continuity and further development of a technically challenging environment.
What they ask
- HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level (Business Administration/Informatics/Computer Technology/Telecommunications) OR MBO (secondary vocational education) diploma with at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with (parts of) complex infrastructures within ICT service provision.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in a team, motivating and inspiring colleagues.
- Experience with process-oriented work, including (having) analyzed disruptions, determining causes, and advising on modifications/measures.
- Knowledge of management processes (e.g., ITIL), working with registration systems, and preparing advice and reports.
- Skilled in directing and guiding colleagues, with strong communicative and written skills and the ability to give advice/presentations.
- Knowledge of or experience with project-based work and working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Experience with technical management (Windows/Linux, virtualization/containers, and/or cloud).
- Good collaboration, taking responsibility, and showing initiative.
- Clear communication with colleagues and other stakeholders.
- Proactively addressing problems and contributing to improvements.
- A VGB A-screening is mandatory for working within this domain.

- A security investigation is part of the selection procedure.
- A reference check and assessment may be part of the selection procedure.
- To be eligible for this position, you must be from a country within the European Economic Area. If this is not the case, you must have a combined permit for residence and work (GVVA).
