Paramedical Advisor

Within the Medical Department of a healthcare organization, where medical-social expertise is the norm, you are responsible for empathetic and tailored services for each member. Together with colleagues in your multidisciplinary team, you contribute to a sustainable and high-quality healthcare system accessible to everyone.

As a paramedical, you will join a warm team of 27 professionals with diverse expertise: advising physicians, paramedical staff (nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists), and return-to-work coordinators.

What you will do.

  • You support the advising physician in evaluating the state of work incapacity of our members. For this, you receive members for consultation in the offices.
  • You accurately evaluate the context of work incapacity (physical, psychological, social, functional) and assess the residual capacities of the person in work incapacity and their limitations.
  • You provide advice, information, and social guidance to our members with work incapacity regarding their rights and obligations and re-integration possibilities.
  • You discuss potential return to work with the member, outline possibilities for re-integration into the workforce, and, if necessary, refer to a colleague return-to-work coordinator or an external service.
  • You contribute your expertise to the discussion of specific cases within the interdisciplinary team.
  • You ensure smooth and qualitative administrative follow-up of your files.
  • You connect members with the healthcare sector and relevant government agencies.
  • You may conduct home visits (e.g., KATZ controls).
  • Occasionally, you represent the organization during professional contacts, both with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., relevant government agencies).

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, possibly supplemented with a master's degree in nursing/ master's in health management and policy/ master's in health promotion.
  • Master's degree in rehabilitation sciences and physiotherapy.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a paramedical.
  • Fluent communication, both oral and written, with a positive and customer-friendly attitude.
  • Strong team player who can also excel in a multidisciplinary team.
  • A strong project-based approach with realistic planning and deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS-Office applications and other relevant applications.
  • Driving license and own car for flexible deployment.
  • Good oral knowledge of French is an asset (to occasionally conduct consultations with French-speaking members).
