The Communication department of a government organization is responsible for policy communication, media relations, internal communication, and content creation. The Content team handles speeches, intranet editing, public inquiries, and visual content, including photography, video production, and graphic design. They also produce a digital magazine for employees.
What you will do. An experienced editor-in-chief is sought for the production of a digital magazine, published six times a year, aimed at connecting and inspiring employees. Tasks include:
- Final editing and correction in the final production phase
- Safeguarding the editorial formula, appearance, and tone of voice of the magazine
- Taking responsibility for a digital magazine ready for publication
Profile
- HBO (higher professional education) working and thinking level
- Experience as an editor-in-chief for online, magazine industry, and/or corporate journalistic publications
- Excellent and creative writing skills
- Meticulous and naturally curious
- Experience with a content management system
- Ability to plan independently and manage deadlines
- Excellent command of the Dutch language
- Good collaboration with colleagues and ability to motivate them to deliver articles on time according to the briefing
- Preferably, experience in political-administrative organizations
