You will work on technical projects that are rarely the same twice. From a production facility, customer-specific machines and installations are engineered and produced for the international bulk, maritime, and offshore industries. As a Project Manager, you are involved from request to delivery.
What you do
You ensure that every project is delivered on time, within budget, and according to agreed specifications. You maintain an overview, adjust where necessary, and work closely with customers, engineering, production, suppliers, and field service.
- Monitoring planning, budget
- Discussing progress with the client and engineering
- Coordinating with production, field service
- Identifying risks and adjusting in a timely manner
- Purchasing and outsourcing parts and activities
- Maintaining budgets and project information in an internal system
- Controlling production, assembly
- Visiting suppliers, construction sites, and clients on location (sometimes abroad)
Sometimes you manage one large project, sometimes multiple projects run simultaneously. You are not just behind your desk but also visit suppliers and locations for control and final installation.
Profile
Practical technical interest is at least as important as your education. You want to understand how things work, which enables you to engage in substantive discussions with engineers and suppliers. You see it as a challenge to align all stakeholders in a project and maintain an overview within the project.

- A higher professional education (HBO) degree in, for example, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Technical Business Administration, Architecture, Automotive
- Recognizing risks in planning and budget and acting on them in a timely manner
- Adhering to agreements and ensuring important project milestones are met
- Proficient in Dutch and English
