A government organization is undergoing significant changes, including a renewed outsourcing of ICT services and a shift towards the Cloud. There is a need for a Domain Architect to ensure work under architecture, including establishing the reference architecture and requirements, and to collaborate with suppliers to develop a roadmap and optimal setup for the environment. The focus is on the Cloud workplace, based on Microsoft 365, Intune, and AVD, with the backup environment (Commvault Cloud) in scope.
What you will do.
- Establish and maintain the workplace design, including principles, governance, and policy frameworks.
- Align functional requirements with surrounding frameworks (user reference group, Office 365 team, I-column).
- Review, audit, and test designs and technical architecture delivered by suppliers for compliance with established frameworks and guidelines.
- Test against and provide frameworks and guidelines that the organization and its suppliers must adhere to, both technically and at the intersection of information and technical information architecture.
- In collaboration with Cloud architects, suppliers, and Landscape Owners, elaborate and keep up-to-date high-level technical architecture frameworks into concrete standards and guidelines, including testing against BIO guidelines and NIS 2.
- Co-develop an architecture roadmap and guide its implementation.
- Monitor and stimulate working under architecture, with an emphasis on Workplace/Cloud architecture.
- Where necessary, support information advisors or technical infrastructure advisors in evaluating supplier proposals.
- Participate in architecture consultations, including the Design Authority and, if necessary, the Architecture Board, including preparation and follow-up.
- Assess new or amended laws and regulations and, where necessary, adapt technical architecture frameworks and guidelines.
- Co-promote the target architecture within the organization.
Profile
- You are independent and sufficiently skilled to initiate tasks, develop designs and policies, and prioritize them.
- You monitor compliance with policies and clearly enforce them, formally discussing and documenting deviations.
- You apply specific methods, techniques, and tools to record and document insights in accordance with standards.
- You support the migration from current to future by testing and establishing principles and standards, using frameworks such as Togaf and Archimate.
What they ask
- The candidate must possess Microsoft certifications MS-305, MS-500, and MS-100/MS-101.
- The candidate must have at least five years of demonstrable work experience within a government organization, gained in the past seven years.
- A VOG (Certificate of Conduct) is required.
Preferences.
- At least a completed HBO (higher professional education) degree in ICT / Informatics / Business Information Management.
- At least 5 years of demonstrable work experience in preparing Project Start Architecture using TOGAF/DYA.
- At least 5 years of demonstrable recent (in the last 7 years) experience with Intune, AVD, and IAM as a solution architect.
