This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to join a growing international organization. This role is ideal for a finance professional who can quickly add value, act as a trusted business partner, and provide hands-on support across the finance function during a key transition period. As Financial Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring financial continuity while supporting an established finance team.
You will act as a sparring partner to management, take ownership of critical financial processes, and contribute hands-on where needed. This position requires someone who can seamlessly switch between strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and operational execution. You will work closely with the local finance team as well as Group Finance stakeholders within the organization to ensure accurate reporting, successful project delivery, and continuous process improvements.
What you do
- Take ownership of the day-to-day financial control activities within the Benelux operations of the organization
- Act as a trusted business partner and sparring partner to management and key stakeholders
- Drive and finalize the ongoing audit activities for a Belgian entity
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Assist with month-end close activities, financial reporting, and performance analysis
- Identify and implement process improvements across finance operations
- Work closely with accounting, payroll, controlling, and cash collection teams
- Support internal controls and ensure compliance with financial policies
- Collaborate with Group Finance and international stakeholders on various finance initiatives
What they ask
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Background in Audit, combined with a minimum of 2-4 years of Financial Control experience
- Experience working as a Senior Financial Controller within an international environment
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) is mandatory
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with financial systems
- Solid understanding of audits, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Ability to operate independently and quickly adapt to new environments
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal
