Civil Engineering Project Leader
This assignment is with a municipal organization dedicated to the quality of the living environment and the sustainable maintenance of public spaces. The organization aims to create solutions for societal issues, with a focus on collaboration, openness, flexibility, and a learning approach. The Urban Management department is the integrated management organization responsible for policy, programming, and execution of all activities for the management and maintenance of public spaces.
The Design & Realization team provides engineering services and works towards creating a high-quality and future-proof living environment.
What you do
- Be ultimately responsible for the agreed work result for projects related to the (re)design, development, and reconstruction of public spaces.
- Drive the achievement of results within defined frameworks, objectives, and resources.
- Draft the project assignment, manage, and report on the GROTICK elements (Money, Risk, Organization, Time, Information, Communication, Quality).
- Go through phases and deliver products in a timely manner and according to quality standards.
- Be responsible for final products linked to Go/No Go moments.
- Act in an environmentally sensitive manner and involve stakeholders appropriately based on the communication and participation strategy.
- Liaise in a timely manner with the official client between technical, environmental, and political aspects.
- Advise the project manager within (area) developments on technical and GROTICK aspects of public space elements.
- Report to the client (Project Manager) for these projects.
- Participate in regular work meetings.
- Report to the client or a supervisor.
- Work in a team context.

- Demonstrable work experience gained in the past 5 years with UAV and RAW methodologies.
- Demonstrable work experience gained in the past 5 years with project management principles such as Prince2 or IPM.
- Demonstrable work experience gained as a project leader for leading a civil engineering project.
Desired.
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 10 years as a Civil Project Leader with the responsibility to guide work preparers, designers, site managers, and supervisors, as well as external engineering firms.
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 10 years as a Civil Project Leader within complex development projects (Construction and Residential Readiness BRM/WRM).
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 8 years with environmental management, including participation processes.
- Minimum 3 years of demonstrable work experience in the past 8 years as a Civil Project Leader within a municipal organization.
