Piano Tuner and Repairer Instructor

• Teaching tuning techniques for unisons, octaves, fourths, fifths, partitions, bass, and treble, with special attention to pure tuning and a well-developed musical ear.
• Recognizing pitches, beats, and sound differences, and developing an accurate ear to optimally tune pianos.
• Intonating piano hammers and refining the timbre and sound quality.
• Basic knowledge of adjusting and optimizing the mechanism of upright and grand pianos.
• Identifying and resolving common technical and mechanical problems and performing preventive maintenance.
• Knowledge of the piano tuner profession, the use of tuning tools, professional working methods, and advising clients on the maintenance and care of their piano.
