This assignment involves replacing a quality inspector within an organization specializing in boiler making (welded constructions). The organization aims to be recognized as a sustainable and professional specialist by demanding clients. For this long-term assignment, a quality inspector is sought in a stimulating and evolving environment.
What you do
- Control upon receipt of raw materials (qualitative and certificates)
- Control of machining returns and/or intermediate control
- Analysis of material certificates based on standards and material grades
- Creation of the complete material file (to be integrated into the Manufacturer's File)
- Inspections and controls during and at the end of manufacturing
- Visual and dimensional inspection (VT), especially of welds (training + BANT certification)
- Penetrant testing (PT) (training + BANT certification)
- Others: PMI + Hardness + Ferrite (in-company training)
- Management and follow-up of all non-destructive controls and hydraulic tests (in the presence of clients or external inspectors)
- Management of reports from various tests
- Assisting the external radiologist (external training & medical follow-up)
- Follow-up of documents, traceability, plan modifications, workshop feedback for "as built" plans
- Management of purchases and follow-up of control instruments
- Ensuring the pickling of parts according to production needs
What they ask
- Strict adherence to safety, hygiene, and environmental guidelines
- Experience in boiler making or a similar/equivalent/identical field
- Knowledge of welding trade/processes (and metallurgy) is a plus
- Flexible in work and available for overtime when necessary (should not be the norm)
- Understanding and reading of plans (sketches/diagrams/drawings representing boiler equipment with welds/chamfers)
- Competent, autonomous, proactive, dynamic, stress-resistant, versatile, easy to contact
- Ability to integrate into an existing work team
- Proficiency in computer tools (Office, Outlook, ERP)
- Open mind for discussion (positive criticism) with the aim of improving operations, organization, quality, profitability, deadlines, and anything else that can bring improvement.
