Night Nurse
As a night nurse, you maintain an overview when it gets quiet. You see what others miss, sense tension early, and bring calm when clients need it most. You are looking for a role with independence, responsibility, and meaning within a specialized clinic for adults.
What you do
When most people are asleep, you, as a night nurse, are alert and present. Together with your colleagues and the security officer, you ensure a safe, stable, and calm night for clients with complex psychiatric issues.
- Maintaining peace, safety, and structure in the department
- Observing clients and detecting changes early
- Being the point of contact for clients who are awake or experiencing restlessness
- Performing nursing procedures, including medication administration
- Acting appropriately in crisis situations or escalations
- Working closely with colleagues, care security, and the ANW head (out-of-hours head)
- Making professional judgments and independent decisions
Where you work. You will work in a specific department, part of a specialized clinic for adults. This is a dynamic environment with various groups and clients, where intensive treatment and recovery-oriented work come together. Within the department, there are different teams:
- Team 1-2-3 (Closed groups): Clients with a dual diagnosis (psychiatry and addiction) who require intensive treatment. Focus on structure, safety, clear frameworks, intensive guidance, and working with, among others, CRA and SRH.
- Team 4-5-6 (Closed groups): Clients with severe psychiatric disorders (SPD), often in combination with other issues such as addiction. Focus on predictability and stability, intensive care and observation, and building trust and recovery.
- Team 7-8-Erica (Open groups): Clients with dual diagnosis and SPD who have more freedom of movement and work on recovery and self-direction. Role is to stimulate independence, support recovery and development, work according to the Positive Health concept, and provide space where possible, set boundaries where necessary.
