Functional Manager

The Information Management department plays a crucial role in the development and maintenance of digital information provision within a specialized healthcare organization. This department consists of four sections: information and data management, functional management & support, information security & privacy protection, and project and portfolio management. Together, they ensure integrated information provision that optimally supports the registration, exchange, and analysis of data.

The functional management and support section is responsible for the operational support of information systems and the functional management of business-critical applications.

What you will do. As a Functional Manager, you will ensure that digital information provision continues to function, is user-friendly, and meets the needs of healthcare professionals. Your tasks include:

• Functionally managing and improving EPD systems for various healthcare institutions.
• Serving as the first point of contact for user questions, incidents, and change requests.
• Guiding healthcare professionals in using the systems and translating user wishes into concrete adjustments or improvements.
• Supporting projects in setting up, testing, and implementing new implementations and functional expansions.

• HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level, with at least a completed MBO (intermediate vocational education) degree, preferably in healthcare, ICT, or information management.
• Current knowledge and several years of experience as a functional manager or application manager of EPD systems.
• Strong communication skills and a solution-oriented attitude.
• Affinity with the context of a government organization.

• Knowledge and experience with blood management and laboratory information systems (BBIS/LIS).
• Knowledge of BiSL, ITIL, or other management standards.
