Information Security Specialist for Emergency Call Centers

The continuity of emergency call center systems is crucial. Systems that are deliberately disrupted or threatened are a current issue. Good information security ensures that emergency responders have access to correct information and that this information does not fall into the wrong hands. This requires aligning information security with operational practice, in consultation with the organization.

What you will do.

  • Establish policies, frameworks, processes, and procedures in the field of information security.
  • Outline guidelines, prioritize, and coordinate activities within your expertise.
  • Contribute to the information security strategy of a national emergency call center collaboration and the evaluation of set objectives.
  • Be responsible for developing and monitoring methods for identifying and evaluating information security risks within the organization.
  • In case of incidents or projects, advise the organization on information security and mitigate risks by taking appropriate measures.
  • Provide substantive guidance to junior and senior information security advisors.
  • Be part of a specialized team for continuity and risk management, focusing on Privacy, Security, Sustainable Accessibility, and Integrated Risk Management.
  • Collaborate with advisors and specialists across different expertise lines.
  • Work independently, under the guidance of the coordinator.

Profile

  • Strong collaboration skills, excellent communication, and organizational sensitivity.
  • Experience in conducting risk analyses.
  • Ability to formulate and present advice clearly.
  • Demonstrable experience with project management.
  • Up-to-date with developments in relevant laws and regulations concerning Privacy, Security, and Sustainable Accessibility.

What they ask

  • HBO (bachelor) working and thinking level, preferably in IT security management or cybersecurity.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in information security, risk management, and information provision.
  • Relevant certification in (cyber)security, such as CISM, CISA, CCSP/CCSK, CISSP, ISSAP, Crypto, Sec Audit, SAR.
  • Extensive experience with frameworks and quality systems in information security and risk management, such as NIST, BIO, NIS, and associated ISO standards.

Practical

  • The organization supports emergency call center employees with facility resources and ICT for all emergency services.
  • The organization works on the technology and organization of the emergency number and adapts to societal developments.
  • You will work in a continuity and risk management team within the organization's corporate office.
