As a youth worker, you are visibly present in the lives of young people, both online and offline. You easily make contact, build trust, and understand what is happening. You can be found on the streets, in schools, at meeting places, and on online channels where young people are active.
What you will do.
- Early detection of issues affecting young people and translating these signals into appropriate activities, support, and preventive initiatives.
- Paying extra attention to themes such as mental health, resilience, and adaptability.
- Developing and organizing group-oriented activities and preventive programs that meet the needs of young people in the municipality.
- Collaborating with schools, aid organizations, safety partners, and other organizations.
- Making an impact on the lives of young people by organizing activities, maintaining online contact, or performing outreach youth work.

- Affinity or experience with online youth work and connecting the online and physical worlds of young people.
- Affinity or experience with outreach youth work and being visibly present on the streets and in places where young people gather.
- Affinity or experience in strengthening the mental health, resilience, and adaptability of young people.
- Affinity or experience in developing and organizing collective and preventive programs.
Profile
- Suitable MBO or HBO diploma according to the Social Work collective labor agreement, for example, Social Work.
- Additional qualifications and certificates, such as registration with the professional register for youth workers.
- Valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG).
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in youth work or similar.
- Flexible availability, including evenings and occasionally weekends.
- Daring, energy, and curiosity.
- Easily approaches young people and has an eye for the environment.
- Good at adapting to new collaborations, both internal and external.
