The GIS Architect defines and monitors the strategic GIS architecture within an organization.
- You translate business objectives into a future-oriented technical vision.
- You ensure that GIS solutions remain scalable, secure, and maintainable.
- The client operates in the utilities sector.
What you will do.
- You develop standards for data models, integrations, services, and application architecture.
- You monitor the coherence of the entire GIS landscape.
- You advise on technical choices within the Esri platform.
- You assess the impact of new technologies on the existing environment.
- You integrate GIS with other business systems, such as SAP and document management solutions.
- You guide the modernization of the landscape, including the transition to Feature Services, Utility Network, and modern web-based GIS solutions.
- You establish technical guidelines for migrations, security, performance, and management.
- You collaborate closely with business stakeholders, project managers, developers, and external suppliers.
- You take a leading role in complex implementation projects and monitor the technical quality of solutions.
- You identify opportunities for digitalization and automation and translate them into concrete architectural choices.
- You act as a technical reference point for the project team and actively contribute to knowledge sharing and standardization.

- Knowledge of utility companies and the challenges surrounding asset management, network information, and operational processes.
